About my secret passion
You know, I have one secret passion, namely knitting of baby blankets.
I was thinking about them for some time. Well, about Haapsalu lace
because the shawl still needs learning the ropes. And then, just at the end
of the last year, one girl I know, asked me if I would do it? We agreed on a
small baby lace blanket.
After that, I knitted similar pattern again, then did another pattern using
cotton and then moved to merino wool. Every spare moment I knit for
pleasure and also to calm the nerves. Now I have four blankets at home
and I don’t know what to do with them. At least I’m not planning to have

have also taken pictures of the other two but I’m not satisfied with these. As
I don’t have any baby model but I think I need some tiny arm or leg covered
with my blanket on these pictures.
Blanket knitting is quite time-consuming job. And as I do it in my free time it
takes sometimes a full month to knit one. And you need 6-7 50-grams balls
to knit blanket size of 70 × 90 cm. At the moment I long for knitting because
there is a lack of suitable wool. I’d like merino, but my yarn store had only
three white skeins left. Last time there were five, so the difference isn’t
remarkable, but also there weren’t any new skeins. In fact, in case of such
large quantities I should order the wool for several blankets at once .
But now my mind started to wander, actually I need to find more profitable
secret passion. Although I bought beautiful matching boxes for my
blankets form Zelluloos paper shop, I don’t think I ‘m able to market one more branch
successfully . This requires a separate store, Instagram, Facebook ….
